The Transaction Banking team partners with our Commercial Bank customers to deliver market-leading working capital, cash flow management, and payments solutions. We work closely with clients to understand their business needs, providing strategic insights and tailored transaction banking solutions that drive efficiency, growth, and long-term value.

As a trusted specialist team, we create opportunities across a broad range of transactional banking products while helping our customers optimise their banking operations and achieve their business objectives. 

Do Work That Matters

In this role, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities across a comprehensive suite of transaction banking solutions—including Business Accounts, Online Banking Platforms, Merchant Solutions (both Card Present and eCommerce), BPAY, Direct Debit, and Corporate Cards—engaging with both existing and new-to-bank clients. Your focus will be on significant business banking clients with an annual turnover greater than $30 million.

By developing strong working relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders, you will leverage your ability to deeply understand each client's business needs and deliver innovative, tailored transaction banking solutions that drive meaningful outcomes.

More Specifically, You Will:

• Proactively identify and develop new transaction banking opportunities, driving growth across both existing relationships and new-to-bank clients through strategic acquisition and referrals.
• Maintain deep expertise across our transaction banking product suite, delivering innovative, tailored solutions that address complex client needs.
• Partner with relationship teams to review transaction banking performance and initiatives, ensuring opportunities are consistently identified, prioritised, and pursued.
• Provide expert support, coaching, and education to Directors and support teams to elevate capability and confidence across the team.
• Actively seek client feedback, maintaining an unwavering focus on delivering exceptional service and outcomes.
• Build and further enhance the Commonwealth Bank's profile and presence in the Transaction Banking market, positioning the Bank as a trusted industry leader.
