About You

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Experience in the management and leadership required in a child and youth mental health service to enable the applicant to undertake the Clinical Nurse Consultant role within the Intake Team.Demonstrated ability to provide high level communication in a demanding multidisciplinary team environment with the need for high levels of risk sensitivity and case review.Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative counsel and clinical expertise in clinical assessments and intervention to children, adolescents, parents/guardians, their families and other support systems. Specific knowledge and skills in Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and/or the treatment of eating disorders, would be highly regarded.Works collaboratively within a complex stakeholder and system framework with internal Queensland Health services including external government, non-government and private health sector service providers to achieve the optimum outcomes for the client.Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical and operational leadership in quality improvement, service evaluation and research initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16Possession of a relevant post graduate qualification (e.g. Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters Degree) or evidence of enrolment in such a program is essential for this role.
