STATION HAND / CARETAKER – BOOLATHANA STATION

About the role

Boolathana Station is looking for a reliable and practical Station Hand / Caretaker, located just a 20-minute drive north of Carnarvon, Western Australia. This is a long-term position commencing 1 October 2026, suited to someone looking for a steady, hands-on role and a relaxed station lifestyle. The role combines general station hand duties with helping to keep an eye on the property and ensuring day-to-day maintenance and essential checks are kept on top of.

Key responsibilities

• General property and station maintenance

• Water runs and checking troughs, tanks and infrastructure

• Fencing and basic repairs

• Maintaining yards, buildings and property infrastructure

• General caretaker duties around the station

• Assisting with livestock and other property work when required

About you

• Reliable, self-motivated, practical and comfortable working independently

• Previous station, farming, maintenance or trade experience highly regarded

• Right attitude and willingness to learn equally important

• Current driver's licence required

Accommodation

There is one Station Hand / Caretaker position available, however accommodation can be provided for a couple or family.

With Boolathana located only a 20-minute drive north of Carnarvon, this could be an ideal arrangement for a couple where one person works on the station and the other works in town, or for a family wanting to enjoy station life while remaining close to schools, shops and services.
