Signal Electricians - Rail

Swetha International is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Signal Electricians for upcoming work across the Sydney Trains network.

We have supported the rail industry for more than 25 years and provide experienced rail personnel to major infrastructure and maintenance projects throughout NSW.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Successful applicants may undertake signalling construction, installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding activities across the Sydney Trains network.

Work may include:

• Installing, maintaining and repairing railway signalling equipment

• Testing signalling equipment and electrical circuits

• Diagnosing and rectifying signalling faults

• Reading signalling plans, circuit diagrams and technical drawings

• Installing and terminating signalling cables and equipment

• Completing inspections and planned maintenance

• Working within rail possessions and live rail environments

• Completing work records and safety documentation

• Following Sydney Trains standards, procedures and safe working requirements

ABOUT YOU

To be considered, you will need:

• Rail signalling qualifications or demonstrated signalling experience

• Previous experience working on the Sydney Trains network

• A current RIW card with the required competencies

• A current rail medical and drug and alcohol assessment

• A strong understanding of rail safety requirements

• The ability to read signalling plans and electrical drawings

• Availability for night, weekend and possession work

• A current driver’s licence

Qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Electrical – Rail Signalling and current Sydney Trains signalling competencies will be highly regarded.
