Pacific Furniture & Bedding is seeking a Part Time Sales Assistant to join our team in Yass, NSW. This is a part-time position within the Pacific Furniture team, covering Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week. As a Sales Assistant, you will be a key point of contact for our customers, helping them find the best furniture and bedding solutions for their needs. This role is essential to delivering an outstanding shopping experience and driving sales performance for our store.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming customers as they enter the store and providing friendly, attentive service throughout their visit

• Assisting customers in selecting furniture and bedding products that meet their requirements and budget

• Demonstrating product features and benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions

• Processing sales transactions accurately using the store's point-of-sale system

• Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing store environment

• Answering customer enquiries about products, pricing, delivery and returns policies

• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth store operations

• Following company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service and safety

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers

• Reliability and punctuality with the flexibility to work part-time hours as required

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Previous use of a Point of sale system

• A genuine interest in furniture and bedding products or willingness to learn

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
