About the role

Sonoco Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Customer Service professional to join our team on a part-time basis at our Preston, VIC location. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our customer relationships, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and service quality. As a Customer Service representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, addressing their enquiries, processing orders and providing support that directly contributes to customer satisfaction and business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Responding promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email and other communication channels

• Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are correctly captured

• Maintaining comprehensive customer records and updating systems with current information

• Resolving customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner

• Providing product information and guidance to support customer decision-making

• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer requests are fulfilled promptly

• Preparing quotes and documentation as requested by customers

• Monitoring order status and providing customers with regular updates

• Contributing to the development and improvement of customer service processes

What we're looking for

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate information clearly

• Proven customer service experience in a client-facing or administrative role

• Proficiency with computer systems and office software, including Microsoft Office

• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

• Attention to detail and accuracy when processing information and documentation

• Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs

• Professional demeanour and patience when handling enquiries and complaints

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• Experience in a sales administration or order processing environment is highly desirable
