Your new role
The primary purpose of the Support and Safety Hub Practitioner position in NEMA Orange Door is to deliver quality, safe and effective responses to the needs of children, young people, and families seeking support through The Orange Door
Work as a member of a multi-agency team to deliver high quality, safe and effective responses to women, children and families seeking support.Deliver screening, triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation and coordinated referrals consistent with the Integrated Practice Framework, Operational Guidelines, and relevant risk assessment tools and frameworks including MARAM and Best Interests Framework.Prioritise the safety of victim survivors and children using a gendered understanding of family violence and an understanding of child and family vulnerabilities.
About You
You have relevant experience working with women and children victim-survivors of family violence and those family’s requiring assistance with the care and wellbeing needs of children and young people. Knowledge and experience working in clinical roles in family violence AND child and family vulnerability.Sound understanding of the MARAM framework and sector obligations.Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and risk managementSound understanding of the family violence and child wellbeing system, and referral options for clients.Demonstrated capability to network and build productive relationships and partnerships with others both inside and outside organisational boundariesHighly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
