Who we're looking for

We're currently seeking a lawyer with litigation experience to join our team and work on assignment with one of our clients in the public sector. If you enjoy advocacy, court appearances and managing a diverse litigation caseload, this could be a great opportunity for you!

The Work

This will mainly involve representing a government department before the Magistrates Court and District Court on a range of litigation matters. You'll provide the department with practical legal advice, prepare court documentation and submissions, and will manage matters from commencement through to resolution.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• a minimum of 4 years post admission experience in litigation and dispute matters;

• confidence appearing before courts independently;

• a strong understanding of litigation practice, court processes and procedural requirements; and

• strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
