About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to join our team at JAM Corner, owned and operated by Sunil & Anil Associates Australia Pvt. Ltd in Palmer street South Townsville, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic hospitality operation. As Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage service, ensuring exceptional customer experiences whilst maintaining operational excellence and profitability. This role is central to the success of our establishment and reports directly to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring high standards of service and presentation
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to maintain excellent customer service standards
• Monitor and control food and beverage costs, inventory management, and profitability metrics
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times
• Create and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing to optimise operational efficiency
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and promptly
• Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and staffing matters
• Develop and execute marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant and bar offerings
• Lead team meetings and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture

What we're looking for

• Solid experience in restaurant and bar management within a hospitality setting
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
• Proven track record of managing budgets, controlling costs, and improving profitability
• Excellent knowledge of food service operations, health and safety regulations, and responsible service of alcohol
• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to resolve conflicts tactfully
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, wine pairings, and cocktail trends
• Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or equivalent industry certifications (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Pay: $63,292.92 – $75,923.97 per year
