About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Legal Admin/Paralegal to join our Legal Support Team. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday during business hours.

The position is ideal for:

• An experienced legal secretary or paralegal seeking a stable, long-term role in a family law practice, or

• Law students with a strong interest in family law and wanting to gain hands-on experience while studying.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our Legal Support Team, your duties will include:

• Greeting clients and managing in-person enquiries.

• Handling phone calls and making outbound calls as directed.

• General office administration – scanning, filing, printing, processing mail, etc.

• Providing administrative support to our director and solicitors.

• Preparing letters, documents, and Court forms.

• Assisting during Court appearances and mediations.

About You 

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 

• Experience in a client-facing role or legal office environment

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office programs 

• Fast and accurate typing skills (essential)

• Excellent attention to detail 

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task 

• Strong work ethic and a proven history of learning 

• A professional and friendly nature with clients and other staff

• Availability for Monday to Friday, standard business hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm 

Experience with Smokeball or similar legal management programs is also an advantage but we will provide software training to the successful candidate.
