CMR Automotive is looking for a Workshop Controller / Supervisor / Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day flow of our workshop and help lead our technical team.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in the daily operation of the workshop, including:

• Managing and allocating jobs across the technician team

• Planning daily workflow and monitoring workshop capacity

• Keeping jobs on schedule and identifying delays before they become problems

• Supporting and guiding technicians with technical and workflow issues

• Working closely with the service/front-of-house team

• Monitoring productivity, efficiency and quality of workmanship

• Ensuring completed work meets CMR’s standards

• Helping develop processes and continuously improve workshop performance

• Creating a positive, accountable and professional workshop environment

About You

You may already be a Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor, Foreman or Workshop Manager — or you might be a highly experienced Senior/Master Technician ready to move into workshop leadership.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Strong automotive technical knowledge and workshop experience

• Excellent organisation and job-management skills

• The ability to lead and earn the respect of a team of technicians

• Clear, confident communication

• A practical approach to problem solving

• High standards for workmanship and customer outcomes

• The ability to prioritise when the workshop gets busy

• A genuine interest in improving workshop efficiency and developing the team

An automotive trade qualification is highly regarded.
