Casual Childcare Educators

We are seeking a fun & friendly casual qualified educator to join our awesome Outside School Hours Care team. The scheduled shift pattern will be up to up to 5 shifts (minimum 20hrs per week) mostly in the afternoon. You may be required to do morning shifts occasionally. Extra hours during vacation care.

The Woree State School Outside School Hours Care service offers school aged childcare programs for before school care, after school care and vacation care settings. The service is modern venue licensed for up to 75 children in the afternoon and located within the school grounds.

The Role.

As our new Childcare Casual Educator, it is your role to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the school community. You will be intrinsically motivated to support and guide children's learning, while developing your own career and knowledge within the childcare sector. As an educator, you will be supported by the leadership team to learn fundamental skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to demonstrate and adhere to child safe policy and code of conduct.

• Assisting with observations of individuals and groups of children.

• Assisting with the program design, implemented, and evaluated in consultation with others to foster all aspect of children's development in a holistic way.

• Working as an effective team member and within the defined position description.

• Ongoing professional development.

What do you need for the role?

• An ACECQA recognized Certificate III or higher.

• Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines.

• Candidates with less than 1 year of experience are welcome to apply.

• An approved Working with Children Check QLD

• Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates or willing to obtain
