Draftsperson

About the role:

As a Draftsperson with AES, you are responsible for producing detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications that support the manufacture of high-quality truck and body-building solutions

In this role you will be responsible for:                                   

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, and technical specifications for water trucks, service vehicles, and body-building components
• Review and revise designs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements
• Manage engineering documentation using SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management)
• Collaborate with Operations, Production, and Engineering teams to translate project requirements into practical design solutions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies into designs
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian standards and manufacturing requirements

What we are looking for

• Australian Drivers Licence
• Relevant degree or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or drafting
• Experience in a body building / equipment manufacturing business
• In-depth knowledge of welding manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles
• Ability to work collaboratively in team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues across multiple departments
