We are currently seeking experienced Site Supervisors to join our Sydney team and work across a range of projects within the Sydney metropolitan area.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager/Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards of quality, time and cost.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced construction professional who is confident managing subcontractors, coordinating trades and driving site activities to meet programme milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel.

• Plan and manage day-to-day construction activities in accordance with the project programme.

• Develop and manage short-term programmes and proactively address delays or constraints.

• Coordinate trades, materials, plant and resources to maintain project momentum.

• Monitor workmanship, quality and compliance with project requirements.

• Manage inspections, defects and Inspection & Test Plans through to close-out.

• Ensure site activities are undertaken in accordance with WHS legislation, project requirements and Paynter Dixon systems.

• Conduct site inductions, safety inspections and toolbox meetings.

• Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, photographs, timesheets and project documentation.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Contracts Administrators, consultants, clients and other stakeholders.

• Identify and resolve construction issues proactively.

• Monitor subcontractor performance, resources and progress against programme.

• Maintain a strong focus on housekeeping, site presentation and overall project delivery.

• Assist with preliminary cost management and identify opportunities for efficient construction solutions.

About You

You will be an experienced Site Supervisor with a strong background in commercial construction and the ability to confidently manage multiple trades and subcontractors on a busy construction site.

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years' experience in a Site Supervisor or similar construction role.

• A recognised trade qualification, preferably carpentry or another relevant construction trade.

• Experience delivering commercial construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and trade coordination.

• Good understanding of WHS legislation, environmental requirements and construction standards.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation.

• Strong subcontractor management and communication skills.

• Experience working to construction programmes and project milestones.

• A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.

• Strong attention to quality, safety and project detail.

• The ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants and clients.

• Sound computer literacy and experience with construction management systems such as Procore, HammerTech or similar would be advantageous.
