About the role
Join a team that’s passionate about changing the way paediatric OT is done.
At Little TheraPeas, we don’t believe occupational therapy is about ticking boxes or rushing through appointments.
We believe in taking the time to truly understand children and their families, thinking critically about our clinical reasoning, and creating therapy that is meaningful, playful and individualised.
We’re looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist who shares those values and wants to grow alongside a supportive, experienced team, with a start date in early October 2026.
About Little TheraPeas
Little TheraPeas is a well-established occupational therapy and speech pathology clinic on the Sunshine Coast, supporting people from infancy through to adulthood across our clinic, schools, homes and community settings.
Our paediatric team works closely with children, families, educators and other professionals to provide therapy that is practical, individualised and genuinely relevant to everyday life. Our practice is built around neurodiversity-affirming care, evidence-informed practice and genuine relationships.
Learning is a huge part of who we are. Alongside our clinical work, we provide professional development to therapists across Australia and host the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Conference Australia (POTCA), giving our team opportunities to learn from and connect with leaders in our profession, as well as opportunities to be involved in the running of the conference.
What you’ll be doing
As part of our paediatric OT team, you’ll:
Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people.
Work collaboratively with families, educators, stakeholders and other professionals.
Develop meaningful, functional goals and individualised therapy plans.
Support children across the environments that matter to them, including our clinic, schools, homes and community settings.
Complete reports and documentation with dedicated non-face-to-face time built into your schedule.
Participate in regular supervision, team collaboration and professional development.
We’re looking for someone who:
Is passionate about paediatric occupational therapy.
Values neurodiversity-affirming practice.
Enjoys learning, asking questions and reflecting on their clinical practice.
Loves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Builds genuine relationships with children and their families.
Brings warmth, authenticity and a sense of fun to their work.
Wants to continue developing their skills within a team that values strong clinical reasoning and quality practice.
What you’ll receive
Individual clinical supervision.
Regular opportunities for collaborative clinical discussions.
A structured appointment model with dedicated administration and report-writing time.
A supportive multidisciplinary team culture where therapists genuinely enjoy working together.
Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
Opportunities to attend and be involved in POTCA.
A beautiful purpose-built clinic with excellent therapy resources.
Opportunities to contribute to projects, education and innovation if these interest you.
Essential requirements
Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Current driver’s licence.
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
Working with Children Check/Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
Start date
We are looking for someone to join our team from early October 2026.
Why Little TheraPeas?
We know there are lots of paediatric OT jobs out there.
What makes us different isn’t fancy buzzwords or empty promises. It’s our people.
We’re a team that asks questions, shares ideas, celebrates each other’s successes and supports one another through the challenging days too. We care deeply about providing exceptional therapy, but we also care about creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work.
We want our therapists to have the time, support and clinical freedom to do their jobs well, continue learning and build careers they genuinely enjoy.
If that sounds like somewhere you’d like to build your career, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please send your CV and a cover letter telling us a little about yourself, your interest in paediatric OT and why you’d like to join the Little TheraPeas team.
