Team Leader

About the role

As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership and oversight across multiple SIL homes, supporting Senior Support Workers and Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred services. This is a leadership and oversight role, not a hands-on support role. You'll focus on staff leadership, incident management, compliance, and service quality, while working closely with Senior Support Workers, Care Coordinators, and the General Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support, and coach Senior Support Workers and Support Workers across allocated SIL homes

• Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to staff teams

• Review incident reports, provide staff coaching, and escalate critical incidents as required

• Identify emerging risks and work collaboratively with participants, families, and the wider stakeholder team to reduce risk and improve safety

• Oversee service delivery to ensure supports align with participant care plans, risk assessments, and NDIS requirements

• Work closely with Senior Support Workers to monitor compliance, review regular audits, and conduct weekly spot checks

• Support staff training and performance development

• Act as a key point of contact for participant, family, and stakeholder feedback

• Participate in an after-hours on-call roster to support service delivery when required

About you

• Minimum 5 years experience working in disability support services, ideally within SIL environments

• Minimum 3 years experience leading, supervising, or coaching support staff

• Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct

• Confidence managing incidents, risk, and compliance

• Clear communication skills and a professional approach

• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

• National Police Check

• Current First Aid & CPR

• Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle

• Relevant qualification in Disability, Community Services, Leadership, or equivalent experience
