The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Technical Consultant - Hybrid Cloud & Microsoft Platforms to join a growing and highly capable team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering complex hybrid cloud solutions spanning Microsoft Azure, Windows Server infrastructure and Microsoft 365 platforms. Working directly with customers, you will lead workshops, develop technical designs, provide implementation expertise and support strategic technology decisions.

Responsibilities

Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure Design

• Lead customer architecture and design workshops
• Design Azure Landing Zones aligned to Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF)
• Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and As-Built documentation
• Design governance, identity, networking, security and operational frameworks within Azure
• Advise customers on hybrid connectivity solutions including ExpressRoute, Azure Arc and Site-to-Site VPNs
• Design Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
• Support virtualisation and hybrid infrastructure strategies

Microsoft 365 & Azure

• Design and deliver Microsoft 365 solutions across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Entra ID
• Implement hybrid identity, security, compliance and migration solutions
• Deploy Azure Landing Zones, governance frameworks, networking, monitoring and security controls
• Lead cloud migration and modernisation initiatives using Microsoft best practicice

Project Delivery & Consulting

• Deliver projects on time, within scope and to a high standard
• Lead workshops, design reviews and customer engagements
• Manage solution changes, documentation, testing and operational handovers
• Provide Level 3 technical support and drive long-term improvements

Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture

• Support customer workshops, technical discovery and solution design
• Contribute to SOWs, proposals, RFQs, RFPs and effort estimates
• Present solutions to technical and business stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer outcomes and grow existing accounts

What Our Client Requires

Essential Experience

• 5+ years' experience across infrastructure, cloud engineering or technical consulting
• Proven Azure architecture and Azure Landing Zone implementation experience
• Deep expertise across Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
• Strong Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy experience
• Microsoft 365 implementation and migration expertise
• Experience with Entra ID, Azure AD Connect and Cloud Sync
• Strong Azure networking, security, governance and monitoring knowledge
• PowerShell scripting and automation capability
• Excellent customer-facing consulting and communication skills
