Randstad is seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker / Welder to join our engineering workshop team. This is a dedicated workshop-based position focused on the fabrication and welding of mild steel components and structural elements. The daily workload primarily involves MIG welding and structural/component fabrication from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and weld mild steel components, frames, and structures to specification.

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on a variety of material thicknesses.

• Read and accurately interpret technical engineering drawings and blueprints.

• Cut, grind, mark out, and prepare materials prior to assembly.

• Operate standard workshop machinery safely (e.g.Angle grinders, drills, Sanders and overhead cranes).

• Maintain high quality control standards and ensure all work passes visual inspections.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workplace environment.

Key Requirements

• Trade Qualification in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication, or relevant discipline.

• Proven experience in mild steel fabrication and MIG welding.

• High proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and standard of workmanship.

• Commitment to safe work practices and workshop protocols.
