Medical Receptionist

About the role

Nightingale Cardiology is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our close-knit, supportive team, you will be our patients' first point of contact, providing them with a warm, welcoming, and professional experience from the moment they arrive. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, delivering exceptional patient care while efficiently managing administrative tasks. There will be times when you will be required to travel to various locations including Mawson Lakes, Stirling and Goolwa.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Efficiently managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling and cancellations
• Answering and directing incoming phone calls with excellent customer service
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files
• Assisting with medical billing processing
• Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as needed

About you

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals and colleagues
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using medical practice management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare administration processes
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach to patient care
