Automotive mechanic

About the role

W Garage Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Coopers Plains, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are kept in optimal working condition.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools

• Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on a variety of makes and models

• Test and inspect vehicle systems and components to identify and address any problems

• Work collaboratively with other technicians and services advisors to meet deadlines

• Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used

• Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in compliance with industry regulations and safety standards

• Communicate clearly with customers or team members about repair needs and options

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Automotive mechanic or technician, preferably in a similar workshop environment

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

• Good communication skills to liaise with customers and provide clear explanations of work required

• A valid driver's licence and your own set of basic hand tool
