Durack Civil are a young and dynamic Civil Construction business with a focus in roads and bridge construction for local and state government entities. Along with our recent growth we have exciting ventures in land development and events management. 

The Durack Groups current growth within the civil industry, means we are seeking a diverse, professional and energetic individual to join the team as a Civil Estimator.

Role Description: 

We are looking for an experienced and diligent Civil Estimator to join our exponentially growing business. Based on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, Durack Civil is made up of an energetic team pushing the boundaries within the civil construction space. We are looking for someone to assist us in accurately estimating the costs of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. 

Qualifications & experience 

• Tertiary or Trade Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and/or Project/Construction Management

• Multi-disciplinary experience in the construction industry (Urban, Mining, DTMR, Slope Stabilisation, etc)   ­

• 6+ years’ experience in the Civil Construction industry and field experience (desirable)

• Previous experience working as a civil estimator in a mid-tier contractor throughout NSW, QLD and NT (favourable)

• Proficiency in Project planning and MS Project program

Tasks & responsibilities.

• Develop accurate civil estimates for a wide range of Civil and Structural projects from first principles 

• Procurement management

• Create construction methodologies, programs and non pricing tender submission documents

• Champion pre-contract phase of project cycle 

• Monitor project costs and support project teams throughout delivery
