Nellandi Pty Ltd trading as McDonald’s is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team.

Salary: $79,499–$80,000 per annum + superannuation, depending on experience.

Location: Townsville, Queensland, Australia

About the role

The Assistant Manager will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and will be responsible for leading and developing team members, maintaining high operational and customer service standards, and contributing to the restaurant's financial and operational performance.

Skills and experience

Applicants should have a relevant Diploma-level qualification or higher and at least one year of relevant management or supervisory experience in a fast-food, restaurant or retail environment. Candidates without formal qualifications may also be considered where they have significant relevant management experience.

Applicants must also demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and communication skills and the ability to manage staff and restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team to deliver outstanding quality, service and cleanliness (QSC), sales performance, people practices and profitability.
• Supervise, coach and develop shift supervisors and crew members and support staff training and performance management.
• Monitor restaurant operations and service standards to ensure consistently high levels of QSC and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor stock and inventory levels and assist with stock control and ordering requirements.
• Maintain and monitor relevant operational and financial records and restaurant controls.
• Monitor budgets, labour and operating costs and contribute to strategies to improve restaurant profitability and sales growth.
• Support restaurant sales, promotional and marketing initiatives.
• Engage with crew and fellow managers to achieve operational and business objectives and bring the Macca’s Way to life on every shift.
• Ensure every customer has a memorable McDonald’s experience and appropriately manage customer service issues.
• Ensure the restaurant complies with workplace health and safety, food safety and security requirements.
• Investigate incidents and implement appropriate corrective actions to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
• Escalate significant safety, security or operational matters to the Restaurant General Manager where appropriate.
