Carpentry Trainer & Assessor

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Carpentry Trainer & Assessor to deliver and assess the Certificate III in Carpentry program.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sharing industry knowledge, supporting students, and contributing to high-quality vocational education outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, industry-relevant training and assessment for Certificate III in Carpentry

• Assess student competency in accordance with training package requirements

• Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills

• Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation

• Ensure compliance with ASQA, RTO standards, and internal policies

• Contribute to continuous improvement of training and assessment strategies

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Carpentry (or higher qualification in a relevant field)

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent / updated version)

• Current industry experience in carpentry/construction

• Strong knowledge of Australian building standards and practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable

• Experience delivering training within an RTO environment

• Current White Card

• First Aid Certificate

• Experience working with international students
