The Role

We are currently seeking two skilled and passionate Carpentry Trainers to join our team and deliver high-quality, practical and industry-relevant training to our students on a Full-time in Perth location. This role is responsible for delivering engaging training and assessment, supporting student learning and ensuring training practices meet relevant industry and VET regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the relevant Faculty Manager, you will combine your hands-on carpentry expertise with strong communication and teaching skills to prepare students with the practical knowledge, skills and confidence required to succeed in the construction industry. You will contribute to a supportive learning environment while maintaining high standards of safety, assessment and compliance.

Based primarily on campus, you will:

• Deliver engaging, supportive, and industry-relevant training in Certificate III in Carpentry

• Create a positive, learner-focused environment where students can thrive

• Assess learner competence fairly and accurately, providing constructive feedback

• Support students from diverse backgrounds to build skills and confidence

• Contribute your industry expertise to the ongoing development of training and assessment materials

• Maintain accurate training records and meet compliance requirements.

Skill & Experience

About You

You are an experienced Carpentry professional who is passionate about mentoring and developing future tradespeople.

You will bring:

• Carpentry trade qualification – Cert III Carpentry (Mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Mandatory).
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, learner-centred training.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse learners
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
