From our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bayswater, we produce a diverse range of sustainable packaging solutions, including foil trays and containers, paperboard, pulp and eco-parchment products.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team and play a key role in keeping our production operations running safely, efficiently and reliably.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving manufacturing equipment across our production facility. This hands-on role supports the ongoing reliability and performance of our machinery while helping minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.

Working closely with Production, Engineering and other key stakeholders, you will contribute to a safe, productive and high-performing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on presses, conveyors, stackers and associated production equipment.

• Maintain plant and equipment across the manufacturing facility.

• Perform short runs, assist with prototype, sample and development work as required.

• Work collaboratively with production and other departments to ensure operational requirements are met.

• Provide accurate maintenance information to support equipment servicing, repairs and upgrades.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of improved maintenance methods and equipment solutions.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance.

• Participate in breakdown response activities and assist in minimising production downtime.

• Work additional hours when required to support operational needs.

About You

You are a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working with complex machinery and contributing to a strong team culture.

You will bring:

• Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner or equivalent mechanical trade.

• 3-5 years' experience maintaining equipment within a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with a sound understanding of pneumatics, valves and industrial machinery.

• Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely.

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, including machine guarding and safe manual handling practices.

• Working knowledge of Quality Systems and HACCP procedures.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.

• A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders.

• A positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Highly Regarded

The following experience will be viewed favourably:

• TIG welding experience

• CNC machining experience

• Food manufacturing or packaging industry experience

• Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
