About the role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to the financial success of a growing Australian business.

In this role, you'll support the business through accurate financial reporting, compliance, tax obligations, and month-end processes while working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close processes, including preparation of journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger and supporting documentation.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports, financial analysis, and insights to support business decisions.

• Assist with statutory financial reporting, external audits, and tax compliance requirements.

• Prepare and submit statutory lodgements and other reporting, ensuring accurate and timely compliance reporting.

• Support the preparation of regulatory reporting requirements and ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and legislation.

• Provide support across the finance function and assist with ad hoc tasks as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.

• CA or CPA qualification, or be actively working towards completion.

• At least 4 years' experience in a similar accounting position. (I made this 4 instead of 2 as I think it would suit their need better and aligns with the salary as well)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end processes.

• A sound understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
