About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Management Accountant to join our team at our North Fremantle office. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and meaningful financial and operational reporting to support business decision-making.

What you’ll do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, reports and commentary, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow analysis.
• Partner with operational and corporate stakeholders to interpret financial results, identify trends and provide commercial insights.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and recommendations for corrective action.
• Analyse revenue, labour, overheads, margins and cost drivers to support improved profitability and operational performance.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards and financial models to improve visibility of business performance.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and review of financial data accuracy.
• Support capital expenditure analysis, business cases and investment decision-making as required.
• Monitor compliance with internal financial controls, policies and delegation requirements.
• Work with finance and business teams to improve systems, processes, reporting integrity and data quality.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and financial support to management as required.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related-discipline (essential)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (essential)
• Working towards a CPA/CA (partially qualified) (highly regarded)

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in management accounting, project accounting, financial analyses, budgeting and forecasting (advantageous)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail
• Proactive and ability to work independently an as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Permanent Australian Working Rights
