about the program
The Mental Health Education Program (MHEP) delivers engaging, evidence‑based mental health education to school students, staff, parents and carers across Australia, with a strong focus on regional, rural and remote communities.
The program strengthens mental health literacy, enhances school capacity, and supports young people and families to access clear help‑seeking pathways, including local headspace centres and community‑based services.
This role sits within the headspace Schools & Communities division and works closely with other national programs, including headspace Centres.

In this role, you may engage with young people and families navigating complex mental health and wellbeing concerns, including distressing or sensitive situations. We are committed to supporting our staff through supervision and reflective practice and encourage applicants to consider how this work may impact them personally.
