Disability Support Worker – Beechboro & Balcatta – Female Preferred

Hourly Rate: $37.50

Summary:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This casual position offers an opportunity to provide essential support and assistance, ensuring that clients can engage in their daily activities with dignity and independence. Your contributions will be crucial in fostering a supportive environment that promotes inclusion and empowerment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the supervising staff.
• Encourage and promote independence and self-advocacy among clients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in disability, aged care, community services or a similar role is desirable
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check, where applicable
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed or willingness to complete
• Right to work in Australia
• Must be mostly available and flexible between Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm
