The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality workmanship while complying with workplace health and safety requirements and project specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications. Measure, mark, cut and shape timber and other construction materials. Construct, install and repair timber structures and building components.

Undertake framing, flooring, roofing and general carpentry work. Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves and other fittings. Construct and install cabinets, partitions and other fixtures where required.

Operate hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely. Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with specifications. Perform repairs, maintenance and modification work as required.

Select appropriate materials and estimate quantities required for tasks. Coordinate with builders, supervisors and other trades on construction sites. Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organised condition.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures and relevant building requirements. Identify and report hazards, defects or issues to supervisors. Complete work within agreed project timelines and quality standards.

Essential Skills and Requirements Minimum 1 year of relevant carpentry experience. Sound knowledge of carpentry methods, materials and construction practices. Ability to accurately measure and interpret plans and drawings.

Good manual skills and attention to detail. Ability to use carpentry hand and power tools. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Commitment to workplace health and safety. Relevant carpentry qualification or trade certificate is desirable.
