Full-Time Pizza Chef – Briscola Italian

Briscola Italian has been serving authentic Italian food in the heart of Canberra since 2010. We're a busy, family-owned restaurant with a loyal following, known for quality food, genuine hospitality and a positive team culture.

We're looking for an experienced Full-Time Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team.

About the Role

You'll take ownership of our pizza section, ensuring every pizza leaves the kitchen to the highest standard. You'll work alongside our Head Chef and kitchen team in a fast-paced but supportive environment where consistency, teamwork and attention to detail are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, stretch and cook pizzas to a consistently high standard.

• Prepare ingredients and complete daily mise en place for the pizza section.

• Ensure quality, consistency and presentation of all pizzas during service.

• Maintain stock levels and communicate ordering requirements to senior chefs.

• Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation throughout each shift.

• Assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties when required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Pizza Chef or Chef de Partie (Pizza).

• Strong knowledge of dough preparation, hydration levels, fermentation and pizza production.

• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

• Excellent organisation and time management skills.

• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• A reliable, positive and professional attitude.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
