The Ethnic Business Awards recognise the outstanding accomplishments of Migrant and Indigenous entrepreneurs. As Australia’s longest running business awards, they highlight the collective migrant and Indigenous spirit in Australia and celebrate the diversity of our nation.

What is the role?

We are looking for a passionate Events Manager to join our team. The Event Manager role leads the coordination and organisation of the Awards program and provides executive support to the Chairman

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Promotion of the Awards to maximise nominations

• End-to-end management of the Gala presentation evening

• Liaison with stakeholders and service providers

• Management of communications and social media campaigns

• Reporting on program performance and outcomes

• Diary management and complex travel arrangements

• General administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks

Skills and experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in event manager or executive support role

• Practical experience in providing a high level of organisation and coordination for events

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Experience in management and delivery of communications and social media campaigns

• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills

• Detail oriented with exceptional organisation and time management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Experience working with Canva, Squarespace, Award Force and HubSpot is preferred

• The ability to quickly adapt to new programs and online platforms
