Steel Erector

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join our team. In this role, you will support the erection of structural steel across construction sites, working from technical drawings and using welding and fabrication tools to produce safe, high-quality work. You will also be responsible for safely operating cranes and equipment, securing structural steel, and applying your rigging expertise throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment (Cranes, EWP’s, Forklifts, etc.) safely.
• Read blueprints to determine material requirements.
• Install and secure structural steel members using hoist cables and bolts.
• Hoist, position, and fasten steel beams and columns with cranes.
• Dismantle structures or equipment as needed.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Apply dogging, rigging, and crane operation knowledge for safe lifting.
• Maintain and service rigging and crane equipment.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors
  

Skills and Experience

• Previous structural steel erection experience;
• Previous experience working with cranes various sizes;
• EWP Ticket;
• Working at Heights ticket;
• White card;
• Proven experience using reliable, safe work practices;
• Flexible approach and cooperative team attitude.
