Client Manager/Accountant – Gold Coast – Accounting And Advisory Firm

CLIENT MANAGER/ACCOUNTANT – GOLD COAST – ACCOUNTING AND ADVISORY FIRM (JOB ID 828)

Our client is a professional accounting and advisory firm based in the Gold Coast, delivering a full suite of services including accounting and taxation, business advisory, tax planning, superannuation, succession planning and management accounting. With a growing and diverse client base, the firm is known for its strong service standards, collaborative culture and long-term client partnerships. 

The Role: 

• Manage and take ownership of a portfolio of business and individual clients 

• Act as the primary point of contact for client communication and advisory needs 

• Deliver end-to-end tax compliance for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs 

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns 

• Review client structures and support the preparation of tax planning and advisory advice 

• Monitor client performance, including KPI reporting and business insights 

• Identify opportunities to add value and support client growth and strategic outcomes 

• Liaise directly with clients to build strong, trusted relationships 

• Work closely with Principals and Managers on complex advisory matters 

• Support the mentoring and development of junior staff where required 

About You: 

• 3–6+ years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting 

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or similar 

• CA or CPA qualified or working towards completion 

• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards 

• Proven experience managing a client portfolio or acting in a client-facing capacity 

• Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills 

• High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management ability 

• Commercial mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach 

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment 

• Experience with Handisoft, MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero and Microsoft Office advantageous
