Finance Officer

• Position Type: Full-time permanent

• Location: Darwin

• Salary Range: $72,169 - $77,432 per annum as per Classification Admin 3.1 - 3.4.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Danila Dilba Health Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. This is a great opportunity for a proactive professional with strong analytical and organisational skills to contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial services in a supportive environment.

The finance officer will assist the finance team to provide effective operation of accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, and other finance team administration duties as directed.

This role will work with the finance team to support DDHS managers and staff to ensure quality resource management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist with identification and resolution of discrepancies and the accurate allocation of expenses and revenue to specific programs.

• Data entry of purchase orders and for incoming and outgoing invoices including liaison with suppliers, customers and DDHS staff

• Coordinate AR billing from AR & Contracts modules in Tech One

• Assist with financial reconciliations in respect of purchase orders, associated invoices and credit card payments and other items as directed

• Assist with financial month end procedures and reporting

• Assist with setting up of new suppliers and required compliances

• Provide administrative support to Finance team

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

• Broad experience in accounts processing and general office duties

• Attention to detail and analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver required outcomes in a timely manner

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a productive team member within a multidisciplinary team in a cross cultural and complex environment

• Experience using financial accounting software and Microsoft suite of applications

• Sound communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service

Desirable

• Completion or working towards a certificate in Accounting

• Experience in working in an Aboriginal Community-controlled Health Service or similar complex environment.
