Maintenance/Handyman

Are you an experienced Maintenance or Handyman, ex-tradesperson, Mechanic or similar looking for a diverse role within a dynamic team?

We are looking for a hands-on, practical and computer-literate Maintenance / Handyman to join our team.

This is a diverse role suited to an ex-tradesperson, mechanic, maintenance fitter or someone with strong practical maintenance experience who enjoys variety, solving problems and getting things done.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for a broad range of maintenance and general site duties, including:

• General site maintenance, repairs and handyman duties.

• Basic Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of plant and equipment.

• Identifying faults and finding practical solutions.

• Preventative maintenance.

• Managing our maintenance program, ensuring scheduled servicing and maintenance is completed and recorded.

• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting outstanding works.

• Arranging trades and contractors for on-site maintenance work.

• Ordering spare parts, equipment and sundry stock as required.

• Maintaining appropriate levels of critical spare parts and consumables.

• Receiving, storing and categorising incoming inventory, spare parts and sundry items, ensuring they are organised, clearly identified and readily available for use.

• Liaising with suppliers and contractors where required.

• Assisting with general site and operational requirements.

• Working independently or as part of a team depending on the task.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in maintenance, mechanical trades, handyman work, automotive or a similar trade.

• Has a strong can-do attitude and is not afraid to get their hands dirty.

• Is a practical problem solver who enjoys finding solutions.

• Is computer literate and comfortable using maintenance software, Microsoft Office and other computer systems.

• Can manage and maintain electronic maintenance records.

• Is organised and capable of ordering parts and managing stock.

• Is willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges.

• Can work autonomously and manage their own workload.

• Can also work effectively as part of a close-knit team.

• Takes pride in their work and has a strong focus on safety and quality.

• Has good communication skills and a positive attitude.
