About the role

Ruby Medical Centre in Bridgetown is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team on a full-time or part-time contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP to provide comprehensive primary care services to our diverse patient population in Bridgetown, WA. The successful GP will have the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families while becoming an integral part of our established practice. Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations and clinical assessments for patients presenting with acute and chronic health conditions
• Diagnose illnesses and formulate appropriate treatment plans based on current clinical evidence and best-practice guidelines
• Perform minor procedures and examinations as required within a general practice setting
• Prescribe medications and provide patients with clear advice regarding medication management and potential side effects
• Manage chronic health conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma and cardiovascular disease
• Conduct preventative health screenings and health promotion activities to support patient wellbeing
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with professional, legal and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with specialists, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
• Provide appropriate follow-up care and monitor patient progress to support optimal health outcomes
• Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures within the practice

About you

• Current registration as a General Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Medical qualification with relevant postgraduate training in General Practice or equivalent experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to manage a broad range of presentations commonly encountered in general practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
• Proficiency in medical practice management software and electronic health record systems
• A commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based medicine
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• A professional approach to patient confidentiality, clinical governance and duty of care
