The practice maintains modern facilities and systems to enable safe, efficient, and respectful care delivery.Role Description The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Daily tasks include conducting consultations, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, coordinating care with nurses and allied health professionals, and maintaining accurate clinical records. The role also involves preventive healthcare, health education, and participation in clinical reviews to support quality improvement and best practice standards. This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role located in the Greater Melbourne Area, requiring regular attendance at the practice and active participation in the multidisciplinary team. The General Practitioner is expected to contribute to a respectful, inclusive environment and uphold all relevant clinical governance and regulatory requirements.QualificationsStrong clinical skills in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of presentations.Experience or training in Family Medicine, including preventive care and chronic disease management.Ability to work collaboratively with Nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in a team-based setting.Commitment to Training and ongoing professional development, including participation in continuing medical education.Current medical degree and full AHPRA registration (or eligibility for registration) in Australia.Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful approach to people from diverse backgrounds.Sound clinical judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage time and workload effectively.Experience in general practice or primary care in a community setting within Australia is highly regarded.
