About The Role

You will be working at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. It has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.

Working in a multi-faceted health facility, the role has a strong emphasis on positive engagement with clinical teams, patients and their families in the provision of security services for the protection of people, property and crime prevention within Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities and properties serviced by SLHD Security. This includes taking pro-active steps in the early identification and prevention of incidents.

Ideal Candidate

Must be Licenced in accordance with the Security Industry Act 1997 - Class 1 A.Current NSW driver licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).Current Senior First Aid Certificate.Demonstrated knowledge and experience providing security and customer service in a large client base environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people from diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision and complete all patrols and any other security work during the shift.Demonstrated experience with a sound understanding of alarm systems, access control system, CCTV and Fire Indication panels.Proven experience in communicating and responding to challenging and aggressive situations such as distressed persons, demonstrating empathy, integrity and resilience under various circumstances.Excellent written communication skills particularly in the area of report writing, maintaining shift logs and entering information into databases.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders including ability to work co-operatively as a member of a team.Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities.The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
