Retail & Leasing Manager

About the Group:

As our portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced retail and leasing professional to join the Group and take ownership of a diverse and expanding property portfolio across multiple states.

With a number of shopping centres and commercial tenancies across the Group's portfolio, this is an opportunity to join an established organisation in a newly created position, with the scope and autonomy to strengthen and shape our retail and leasing operations.

About the Role:
Reporting to senior leadership, the Retail & Leasing Manager will oversee the effective management of the Group's retail and commercial leasing portfolio across multiple states.

The role will combine strategic oversight with hands-on portfolio management, encompassing leasing administration, tenant relationships, property matters and the coordination of external property service providers.

A key focus will be strengthening the Group's in-house property capability and establishing a dedicated retail and leasing presence at Ashmore, while supporting the broader portfolio across the Group.

This is a senior role suited to a commercially minded property professional who can confidently manage both the strategic and operational aspects of a diverse retail and commercial portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the Group's retail and commercial leasing portfolio across multiple states.

• Manage and maintain strong relationships with tenants, agents, property service providers and key stakeholders.

• Oversee leasing administration, including lease renewals, reviews, variations, documentation and associated property matters.

• Coordinate and manage external property and leasing service providers, ensuring appropriate service levels and outcomes.

• Establish and maintain a strong retail and leasing presence at Ashmore.

• Support leasing negotiations and identify opportunities to optimise the performance of the Group's retail and commercial portfolio.

• Ensure leasing and property activities are managed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and contractual obligations.

• Provide senior leadership with clear reporting, insights and recommendations relating to the portfolio.

• Work closely with Finance, Operations and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective management of the Group's property interests.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and the overall management of the Group's retail and leasing portfolio.

About You:
We are seeking an accomplished retail and leasing professional with demonstrated experience across shopping centres, retail and/or commercial property.

You will bring:

• Significant experience managing retail, shopping centre and/or commercial property portfolios.

• Strong understanding of leasing practices, property management and relevant legislation.

• Demonstrated experience managing tenant relationships and complex leasing matters.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver sound outcomes.

• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A high level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple properties, leases and priorities.

• The confidence to work autonomously while partnering closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to take ownership of the portfolio.

• A current Australian Real Estate Licence, with the ability to operate across multiple states (NSW and QLD) highly regarded.
