Internal Sales Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Internal Sales Coordinator to join their Melbourne team. This is a varied, customer-focused position combining internal sales, order management and logistics coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and taking ownership of the customer experience.
You'll manage customer requirements from initial enquiry and order processing through to successful delivery, working closely with customers, suppliers, warehouses, transport providers and internal stakeholders to ensure orders are accurate, deadlines are achieved and customers remain informed throughout the process.

About the role:

• Managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery and invoicing.
• Processing sales orders, purchase orders and associated documentation.
• Providing customers with accurate information regarding pricing, stock availability, orders and delivery timeframes.
• Coordinating deliveries with warehouses, suppliers and transport providers.
• Proactively monitoring orders and following up outstanding deliveries.
• Resolving delivery delays, stock discrepancies and other customer issues.
• Managing customer enquiries, complaints, claims, credits and returns.
• Maintaining accurate customer, pricing and order information within internal systems.
• Monitoring stock availability and supporting inventory management requirements.
• Raising purchase orders and verifying associated costs.
• Liaising closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve customer requirements.
• Building strong relationships with customers and providing a consistently high level of service.

About you:

• Previous experience in internal sales, sales coordination, customer service or order management.
• Experience managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery.
• Strong customer service skills with the confidence to build relationships over the phone and via email.
• Exposure to logistics, transport, warehousing, distribution or 3PL coordination will be highly regarded.
• Excellent administration skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence managing multiple customer requirements and competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using ERP or CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience within distribution, manufacturing, FMCG, chemicals or another product-based environment will be advantageous.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Internal Sales Coordinator, Sales Administrator, Customer Service Coordinator or Order Management Coordinator looking for a role with greater ownership, variety and exposure across the wider supply chain.

You'll become an important point of contact for customers while coordinating with the wider business to ensure orders are processed accurately, delivered on time and supported by proactive communication throughout the entire customer journey.
