About the role
Pinjarra Bakery is a proudly Western Australian, family-owned business with more than 25 years of history. From our original bakery in Pinjarra, we’ve grown into a much-loved WA brand known for award-winning pies, quality products and warm, welcoming service.
We’re serious about quality, consistency and doing things properly — but we also believe work should be enjoyable. Our people are part of the PB family, and we’re building something bigger as our bakery café and franchise network continues to grow.
About the opportunityWe’re looking for a Franchise Support Manager to join our growing team in this newly created, field-based role.
Reporting directly to the Head of Franchise, you’ll be the practical link between our Support Office and stores across the network. You’ll work across both franchised and company-owned stores, helping Franchise Partners and Store Managers get the most from their businesses while ensuring the Pinjarra Bakery experience remains consistent across the network.
This role has two key areas of responsibility:
New Store Delivery
You’ll take new stores from project commencement through to opening and early trading. This includes coordinating fit-outs, builders, designers, equipment suppliers, technology, marketing and production, keeping everyone aligned to the critical path and ensuring each store is ready to deliver the PB experience from day one.
Network Support
You’ll spend time in stores conducting field visits, audits, coaching and training. You’ll work alongside Franchise Partners and Store Managers to understand their numbers, identify opportunities, strengthen their teams and improve operational standards.
You’ll be supportive, practical and solutions-focused — while being clear about what great looks like.
What you’ll be doingCoordinating new store openings from signed agreement through to stabilised trade
Conducting planned and responsive store visits, with clear follow-up and action plans
Running the Pinjarra Bakery audit program and following corrective actions through to completion
Delivering induction, pre-opening and refresher training
Reviewing sales, labour, wastage, stock and customer experience data and turning it into practical actions
Supporting monthly check-ins and quarterly business reviews with Franchise Partners
Building playbooks, checklists and support routines as the network grows
Reporting network performance, risks and project status to the Head of Franchise
Helping stores maintain the quality, consistency and customer experience that Pinjarra Bakery is known for
We’re looking for someone who is confident working across multiple sites and can build strong relationships while still holding people accountable.
You’ll ideally have:
Multi-site experience in retail, hospitality, food service, bakery, QSR or franchising
Experience coaching and influencing business owners or managers without direct authority
Strong commercial understanding of store-level performance, including sales, labour, wastage and stock
Experience with audits, checklists and practical improvement programs
Experience coordinating new store openings, fit-outs, refurbishments or similar projects
Confidence delivering hands-on operational training
Strong written communication skills, including reports, action plans and project updates
A current unrestricted WA driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the network
A reliable, presentable and roadworthy vehicle, comprehensively insured for business use
The legal right to work in Australia
A Food Handler Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
Experience in bakery, café, food retail or QSR, or on the franchisor side of a franchise system, will be highly regarded.
You don’t need to be a baker. We have the systems, manuals and training to support the technical side. What we need is someone who can lead, coach, organise and hold a standard.
What’s in it for you?$105,000–$120,000 package + superannuation
Base salary of $90,000 + $15,000 car allowance
Performance bonus opportunity
Novated leasing available
Monday to Friday role
Formal salary review at 12 months
Direct access to the Head of Franchise and genuine influence over how the network grows
Opportunity to grow with an expanding WA brand and franchise network
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be out in stores, working alongside people and seeing the impact of your work quickly.
Early starts are part of the role — a store visit may begin around 6.00am — and occasional weekend work may be required around new store openings.
Your first monthYour first month will be spent working in one of our stores, learning the Pinjarra Bakery way from the inside.
You’ll experience opening and closing routines, production and product flow, service standards, food safety, rostering, ordering and point of sale.
We believe it’s the best way to understand our operation and earn the right to coach someone else’s business.
How to applyIf you’re an experienced multi-site operator who enjoys being out in the field, working with people and helping businesses perform at their best, we’d love to hear from you.
Click Apply and send us your CV along with a short cover letter telling us why this role interests you.
Pinjarra Bakery is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide evidence of work rights and a current driver’s licence.
