We are run by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people and work to provide culturally appropriate health, aged care and general support services in regional and remote communities, helping people to get home to country and family.About the RolePurple House is seeking an experienced Finance Officer who will work under the general direction of the Chief Finance and Operations Manager (CFOM). The position is responsible for providing assistance across the finance team and general administrative tasks for the CFOM.
Key responsibilitiesAccounts payable processingCredit card processing and reconciliationMedicare claimingPayroll processingAccounts receivableGeneral administration support servicesProviding cross-functional coverage during staff leaveIdentifying and reporting financial discrepanciesMaintaining compliance with WHS and organisational policiesWorking collaboratively within a finance teamOther Duties as required within trained capability and classificationAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:EssentialQualification in Bookkeeping or AccountingDemonstrated Accounts Payable, Receivable and/or Payroll experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed organisational & time management skills, able to identify and prioritise work with high level attention to detailBe able to work autonomously & collaboratively in a team environmentProven intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelThe ability to proactively support a team in a busy professional officeWillingness and capacity to work in a cross-cultural environmentAbility to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.Highly DesirableExperience in using MYOB, Lightyear, Employment Hero softwareExperience working for an Indigenous organisation.What We OfferAttractive salary with 12% super plus generous salary packaging optionsPermanent full-time opportunity with up to 6 weeks annual leaveSupportive and values-driven organisationRelocation support for eligible applicantsInterstate and remote travel opportunitiesCompetitive salary under the WDNWPT Aboriginal Corporation EA – Admin Level 4 classification
