We are currently seeking applications from suitably experienced clerks who are interested in joining our Community Access Clerical Team.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
The Community Access Service is Northern Health's central point of access and intake for the Community programs. Based at Bundoora Extended Care Centre
The service plays a vital role in managing incoming referrals for the Health Independence Programs, Commonwealth Home Support Program, National Disability Insurance Scheme and some of the Outpatient Specialist Clinics.
This is a part-time position of 3-4 days per week.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Prior experience as a clerical officer is essential in a healthcare setting.Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs and specifically excel.Proven ability to work as part of a team and provide accurate, timely and responsive administrative support.Demonstrated high level of skill in typing speed and accuracy.Demonstrated ability to maintain a courteous and friendly customer focused manner when communicating with patients/carers, staff, referrers, visitors and the general public
