Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced (Administration Officer to join the Outpatient Services team.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
Providing high quality general reception and telephoneansweringservicesRegistration of patients andreferralsCollating referralinformationUpdating referral and appointmentinformationAllocation and maintenance of patientappointmentsMailing of information (investigation requests, prescriptions, documents) topatientsMailing of CPF generated clinical appointment correspondence to external cliniciansand/orpracticesMaintaining clinic supply of investigation request forms and outpatient clinicianstationaryLiaise with patients/care givers to collect/provideinformationMaintaining patient enquiry form responsesWork with the broader outpatient team and external providers to ensure the efficient and safe operations ofservice.SupportTelevideopatients using NH telehealth platform HealthDirectRotate through a variety of shifts within the business hours of 8am – 5:30pm Monday toFridayProviding administrationcoveracross all Northern HealthCampuses.The Administration Officer is required to beadaptable, multi-skilled, patientfocusedand able touse ofa number of computersystems.

Flexibility & Willingness to Work Across Multiple Sites – Adaptable and open to working across different locations, embracing variety within the role. Strong Problem-Solving Skills & Attention to Detail – Able to think proactively, troubleshoot effectively, and maintain a high standard of accuracy in all tasks. Initiative & Ability to Work Autonomously – Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and manage workloads independently.
