About the role
Axiom is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Operations to support a leading hyperscale data centre company on a long-term secondment. This role will partner closely with operations, technology and corporate services teams to provide strategic legal advice on complex commercial procurement, technology and corporate services matters across the APAC & Middle East region. The position combines hands-on contracting with oversight of key legal and regulatory issues, including privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property and critical infrastructure, while driving strategic initiatives, developing scalable procurement frameworks and supporting the continued expansion of the organisation's operations across multiple jurisdictions.Responsibilities:Provide strategic legal advice on a broad range of commercial, procurement and operational matters, partnering with business stakeholders to support key initiatives.Draft, negotiate and manage a variety of commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and service providers across multiple business functions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, risk-based legal solutions that enable commercial outcomes and support business growth.Advise on legal and regulatory matters relating to technology, data, privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity and other evolving compliance areas.Develop and enhance legal processes, contract templates, guidance materials and training to improve efficiency, consistency and governance.Identify and manage legal risk across complex projects, while monitoring regulatory developments and supporting the implementation of best-practice compliance frameworks.Requirements:Admitted to practice with strong experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team, advising on a broad range of commercial matters.Proven ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice and manage complex legal issues in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Experience supporting commercial contracting, procurement or technology-related matters, with exposure to privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity or regulatory issues viewed favourably.Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and manage multiple priorities effectively.Why Rejoin Axiom?Flexibility: Choose assignments that fit your lifestyle and career goals.Professional Growth: Continue to develop your expertise through diverse projects.Community: Reconnect with a network of forward-thinking legal professionals.Impact: Contribute to impactful work with leading global organizations.
