Senior Legal Counsel

We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to become our stand alone legal advisor, partnering with senior leaders across the global business.

The Opportunity
You'll work alongside executives and operational leaders to provide practical, business-focused legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters.
You'll be involved in major commercial negotiations, intellectual property, governance, property, compliance, disputes and strategic projects that support ARB's continued global growth.As our senior legal advisor, you'll have the autonomy to shape the legal function while becoming a trusted partner to leaders across engineering, manufacturing, sales, finance, procurement and executive management.

Key Responsibilities
You'll provide legal support across a diverse portfolio, including:Advising the business on commercial, corporate and operational legal matters.Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.Supporting strategic projects, acquisitions and commercial initiatives.Protecting ARB's intellectual property portfolio in partnership with our engineering and product development teams.Managing disputes, claims and external legal advisers.Advising on property transactions, leasing, construction and development matters.Supporting company secretarial, governance and international compliance activities.Developing legal policies, contract templates and risk management frameworks.Assisting with ESG, sustainability and regulatory compliance initiatives across the global business.

About You
Experience gained in-house or within a leading commercial law firm.Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.Sound knowledge across general commercial, corporate and regulatory law.The confidence to operate independently while building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with excellent commercial judgement.The ability to balance strategic legal advice with hands-on day-to-day support.Outstanding communication skills and the credibility to influence senior stakeholders.
