You’ll play a key role in:

As a Contracts Administrator in our Sydney team, you’ll support the commercial delivery of a large-scale, landmark Data Centre project—helping manage contract risk, protect profitability and keep delivery on track.

Working alongside Project Managers, Commercial Managers and project teams, you’ll turn complex contract detail into clear, practical guidance. You’ll support smart commercial decisions and build trusted relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build your experience on a high-profile project, backed by experienced leaders, strong systems and a collaborative team that knows how to deliver.

Key responsibilities:
Review head contracts and identify commercial risk early Prepare clear tender analysis, including scope, exclusions and key commercial considerations Manage subcontracts, purchase orders, progress claims and variations Drive accurate cost reporting, forecasting and financial control Process invoices and client claims in line with contract requirements Identify risks, opportunities and profit improvement strategies Maintain compliance across contracts, claims, payments and trade letting Keep project data accurate in SHAPE systems, including JOBPAC and Procore What you’ll bring:

You’ll bring sharp commercial instincts, a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to navigating contract risk. Comfortable working across project teams, subcontractors and suppliers, you know how to turn the fine print into practical outcomes—balancing strong governance, fairness and commercial smarts along the way.

Including:
A trade qualification or tertiary building, industry or management qualification, plus a current Construction Industry Card 5+ years’ experience in the building industry, ideally across Data Centres, commercial construction, industrial construction or fitout and refurbishment projects valued at $5m+ Experience working across data centre projects or large services packages would be highly regarded. Strong experience in contract letting, negotiation, head contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders Solid understanding of contracting risks, project methodology, cost reporting, programming and financial management Strong capability across MS Office, JOBPAC, Procore and project delivery systems Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with project teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders A genuine commitment to safety, quality and SHAPE’s EHSQ principles Why SHAPE is a great place to work
