Assistant Store Manager

Eckersley’s Art & Craft is one of the largest fine art, craft & design retailers in Australia. We are looking for a new store manager at our Philip ACT location.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of the retail store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. They should be a confident salesperson and be able to share their best practices in order to onboard new employees.

This candidate should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the business to ensure sales goals are met

• Maintain high levels of customer service

• Purchasing & visual merchandising

• Liaise with head office to ensure the store runs smoothly and promotions executed effectively

• Rostering & assigning tasks to staff

• Conduct hiring and onboarding of new employees

• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of retail and retail management experience with a demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson

• Strong customer service, management and communication skills
