Barista/Wait Staff

Great Jones is a new venue opening soon on High Street, Armadale.

Built by hospitality operators with years of experience running cafés and restaurants in New York City, Great Jones is a restaurant-led venue serving exceptional coffee from morning through to afternoon, alongside a thoughtful, produce-driven food offering and a carefully curated wine, beer and cocktail program.

We're looking for experienced Baristas and Waitstaff / Front of House All-Rounders to join our opening team. Full-time, part-time and casual opportunities are available.

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy hospitality, work well in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering warm, attentive and professional service.

About the Roles

Depending on your experience, your role may focus primarily on coffee, floor service, or a combination of both.

Our Baristas will be responsible for delivering consistently excellent coffee throughout busy services, while our Waitstaff will provide attentive table service and confidently guide guests through our food and beverage offering.

We're building a collaborative front-of-house team, so everyone should be willing to support one another and contribute wherever needed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing warm, genuine and attentive hospitality.

• Taking orders and delivering professional table service.

• Running food and beverages efficiently throughout service.

• Preparing consistently high-quality coffee (Baristas).

• Dialling in and maintaining espresso quality throughout service (Baristas).

• Serving beer, wine and cocktails in accordance with RSA requirements.

• Learning our food and beverage offering and confidently answering guest questions.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workspace.

• Supporting the wider team during busy services.

We're Looking For People Who

• Have previous experience in busy, fast-paced hospitality venues.

• Are confident, personable and genuinely enjoy looking after guests.

• Can remain calm and organised during high-volume services.

• Have strong communication skills and work well within a team.

• Take pride in professionalism, presentation and attention to detail.

• Hold a current Victorian RSA certificate.

• Are available to work weekends.

• Have strong specialty coffee skills and latte art experience if applying as a Barista.
